Ephesians 2:1-3 (English-KJV)

1. And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2. Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3. Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

1. A Lost Man Is Spiritually Dead to God (vs. 1)
   1. Death means separation
   2. Death does not mean cessation
      A lost man lives "in trespasses and sins"
      Trespasses --- to cross the boundary
      Sins --- to miss the target
      
   3. Death is overcome by the power of God.
      hath he quickened" (Romans 3:11)
2. A Lost Man Is Spiritually Led of Satan (vs. 2)
   1. Satan is the prince at work in the affairs of the world
   2. Satan is the power at work in the hearts of the lost
      Compare and contrast (1:19) with (2:2)
   3. Satan is the person at work in the battle against God
      But remember Satan is the prince, God is the King!
      Read (Colossians 3:13-15)
3. A Lost Man Is Spiritually Fed by Lusts (vs. 3)
   "fulfilling the desires of the flesh"
   1. A lost man sees the forbidden and lusts after it
   2. A lost man "serves" his appetites (Phil 3:18-19)
   3. A lost man sins like this because it is his nature
