Wade and his wife Rachelle have four grown children: Kade and his wife Anne and their son Levi of Edmond, Oklahoma; Charis Downey and her husband Travis of Allen, Texas; Boe Burleson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Logan Burleson and his wife Nicole of Raleigh, North Carolina. Wade and Rachelle enjoy overseas travel together and have led many international trips for groups from Emmanuel.
Wade believes everybody has a story and his desire is to be used by God to help intersect another person’s story with His Story. Wade’s philosophy of ministry is best summarized with the word grace. He is a pastor who doesn’t particularly like institutional churches, but considers the organizational structure and ministries of Emmanuel some of the best he’s ever seen. He believes Christianity is personal, relational and missional. His great desire is for God’s people not to confuse the programs or ministries of the church with the kingdom of God. The freedom to be—and the liberty to do—as the Spirit leads characterizes the ministry of Wade Burleson. Over the past two decades many have discovered their freedom in Christ through Emmanuel Enid’s ministries.

My name is Ryan Nelson and next to me is my wife, Chloe. Our purpose and desire in serving the youth of Emmanuel Enid is to teach them about the true Jesus and to foster an environment where loving God, loving people, and pushing back darkness is a way of life. We believe that walking out our faith is not done well if we are not actively in a community of believers. We also believe that God chose youth as His first disciples for a special reason and divine purpose, and we trust that God can move mightily through our youth as well for the expansion of His great name and Kingdom. We cannot wait to see where the Lord takes you in the future and trust His promise that He will finish what He has begun. May the grace of God be with you.
